Once a year, dreamers and doers gather from around the world to create Black Rock City in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, on August 28 – Septenber 5 celebrating art, self-expression, radical self-reliance and community. The experience, and the culture that is generated by it, is Burning Man.
In this crucible of creativity, all are welcome.

The burning man is more than a festival ,it is a crazy, bizarre, chaotic event but the best organized event in the world that creates a huge city where almost everything happens created exclusively by the residents of everyone participating in the event and —- the 10 Principles. The event is organized entirely by volunteers, community members and each participant contributes his share, Each one brings his own goods with his trailer and change it for other goods that other people brought with them, no money just exchange!
It all began on the longest day of the year, in the summer of 1986, when 20 people met at Baker beach in San Francisco and burned a wooden man figure spontaneous act of radical self-expression. Since then the event and its participants nearly doubled every year. After 5 years, the event was moved to the Black Rock Desert in Nevada in usa
Today, the Burning Man experience is over 65,000 people who meet in the middle of the deserts and according to the year’s theme building together a huge city of world’s largest interactive display of art with different themed camps who help create the festival’s homegrown flavor.
Highlight of the event is the symbollic, ritual burning of a large wooden effigy (“the Man”) that traditionally occurs on the Saturday evening of the event
The uniqueness of the event that there is no visitors or viewers , but only participants .
All contents of the event is determined by the The participants who create it. Theme camps are being established, including bars, clubs, lectures complexes and nice places to chill out. Artists are building on the desert land a huge interactive performance thus art cars that look like magic carpets, mechanical fire-breathing dragons trolling the desert and maybe a life-size replica of an 18th-century shipwreck…
At night the desert comes to life and becomes display of light, color, fire and music. The participants dress in colorful clothes which were made especially for the event months in advance, riding bicycles decorated with colorful lighting, decorated vehicles carrying partygoers deep into the desert, interactive art exhibits bright colorful lights and parties from all kinds of the best music by the best artists such as Trance, House, PsyTrance and a lot more that will bring you to a perfect harmony
In the end of the event the city completely disappears , having left no trace whatsoever. like the event never happened..
It is absolutely impossible to explain the feeling of freedom you achieve, and the size of this never ending desert while the festival takes place, it’s even harder to explain exactly what this event is like because there is nothing else like it!

Radical Inclusion
Anyone may be a part of Burning Man. We welcome and respect the stranger. No prerequisites exist for participation in our community.
Gifting
Burning Man is devoted to acts of gift giving. The value of a gift is unconditional. Gifting does not contemplate a return or an exchange for something of equal value.
Decommodification
In order to preserve the spirit of gifting, our community seeks to create social environments that are unmediated by commercial sponsorships, transactions, or advertising. We stand ready to protect our culture from such exploitation. We resist the substitution of consumption for participatory experience.
Radical Self-reliance
Burning Man encourages the individual to discover, exercise and rely on his or her inner resources.
Radical Self-expression
Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of the individual. No one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver should respect the rights and liberties of the recipient.
Communal Effort
Our community values creative cooperation and collaboration. We strive to produce, promote and protect social networks, public spaces, works of art, and methods of communication that support such interaction.
Civic Responsibility
We value civil society. Community members who organize events should assume responsibility for public welfare and endeavor to communicate civic responsibilities to participants. They must also assume responsibility for conducting events in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
Leaving No Trace
Our community respects the environment. We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a better state than when we found them.
Participation
Our community is committed to a radically participatory ethic. We believe that transformative change, whether in the individual or in society, can occur only through the medium of deeply personal participation. We achieve being through doing. Everyone is invited to work. Everyone is invited to play. We make the world real through actions that open the heart.
Immediacy
Immediate experience is, in many ways, the most important touchstone of value in our culture. We seek to overcome barriers that stand between us and a recognition of our inner selves, the reality of those around us, participation in society, and contact with a natural world exceeding human powers. No idea can substitute for this experience.
